About Phases

With the state of the world, and its myriad of demands on everyone on a day to day basis, it is no wonder that more and more people are burned out, depressed, anxious, and unsatisfied with their life.

In addition to the demands externally, people often struggle to adequately provide the self-care necessary to maintain the optimal body conditions to meet and manage such levels of stress.

Phases Psychiatric Services was born of the idea that multiple modalities of treatment do not need to compete with one another, but rather, should be used in conjunction to treat mental health symptoms, such as depression, anxiety, lack of motivation, low energy, and apathy. Traditional medications, such as SSRIs and mood stabilizers, have their place in treatment, but so do supplements, such as vitamins, minerals, and adaptogens.

In addition to daily regimens of medication and supplementation, behaviors, such as diet, exercise, and therapy are also important.

The name Phases came from observing the moon. While she changes monthly, one day to the next, often appearing more diminished, or brighter and fuller, the nature of what she is stays consistent. It is our belief at Phases that we are like the moon. There are times in life when we struggle, and times when we triumph, but whatever is happening, however we may appear to others, or even to ourselves, we do not change the fundamental nature of who we are at our core. All of us, no matter who we are or where we come from, are human beings, deserving of kindness, understanding, love, and capable of great change, sacrifice, and growth.

It is because I believe that all people can continue grow, change, and learn, no matter how young or old, that it is never too late to begin your healing journey.

About Danielle Beach, PMHNP-BC

I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner of 1.5 years, and a nurse of 10 years. My desire to enter into psychiatry stems from my own experiences with mental health from adolescence, a long history of depression and anxiety that took many, many years to treat successfully and manage, to the point that I am rarely bothered by either. I truly believe that the fact I have sat in the seat you will be sitting in, across from me, puts me in a unique position to understand how difficult mental health treatment can be, and the work required to “become okay.” Many of my friends and family members, people I love dearly, have also struggled with mental health during the course of their lives, and in seeing the difference compassionate and competent providers can make in the quality of life, I find myself renewed in my mission on a daily basis.
